Unit 15- Evaluation and testing as the name suggests introduces and describes the methods of tests. Main tests within a language classroom are: Placement test- used by a teacher to decide where to place new students according to their language ability. Progress tests should be used periodically to gauge what language has been remembered or forgotten. Diagnostic tests identify students weaknesses and strengths so future lessons can be built around it. Practice tests follow the format of an external examination.
