Very well explained, i had no complications to understand thoroughly the unit, i would say that was a quite easy. It might be because of my language that use to much word tenses, but i think the units by itself it's providing a self-development on me, as so making me review and understand each unit far better than the last one. This unit covered several grammar points, modals, clauses, passive voice, and phrasal verbs. Of these, I think clauses and modals are the easiest for students to grasp. It is simple to remind them of what a sentence is and then show how relative clauses add information. The necessity of the comma for indefinite clauses helps with their identification. Passive voice is also relatively simple to explain, using the focus of the sentence to explain the grammar, even if the tense shifts are confusing. Phrasal verbs, however, are the most difficult for students to grasp, as they combine verbs with particles. Students have already learned the meaning of the verb, and it is difficult for them to understand and remember the new meaning. Unit 14 discussed the difference between created materials and authentic materials. Advantages and disadvantages of using each were also listed. Many resource examples were provided of created materials that can be printed out and used in our own classrooms. This unit makes it clear that the course books should be used as supplemental materials only and that the teacher should spend time making the lesson their own. This unit focused primarily on how to select and teach grammar and vocabulary to esl students. The part I found most helpful was in detailing what vocabulary (and grammar) to teach, and how to choose vocabulary (and grammar) that would be helpful to the students. While I feel that this section had a good deal of content, I feel it would have been better improved by a base"" list of a hundred-or-so words that native speakers commonly use
