Nowadays English is a universal language. It is the second language in many countries. People in these countries have different nationalities and different background but still they are all learning English. To know foreign language is becoming one of the main factors of economical and cultural development of society. A foreign language plays an important role in improving education and in shaping of the personality. Therefore, it seems that English is everywhere wherever you go. The question is “Is it so easy to learn and speak English as people got used to think? Do people face problems?” To begin with, English is one of the most popular languages all over world. Many students face various problems learning it, especially people of different nationalities. One of the most important obstacle is a “Language barrier”. For example, student attends different courses and really motivated but cannot speak even after a long time. This problem occurs when your program has a low amount of language practice or if the student does not have enough vocabulary. Therefore, the best solution is to increase the quantity of speaking practice e.g. sign up for an English speaking clubs or communicate with foreigners via the Internet, etc. Another problem is that many students first will create the sentence on their mother tongue and only then translate it into English. Such problem is typical for beginners of almost all nationalities, when they are not sure of the sentence structure, vocabulary and grammar. One more issue is inability to understand oral speech. This is a common mistake even for experienced students. Besides, the problem is the lack of practice. If a person has a poorly developed Listening skill, then he should listen to English as much as possible e.g. start with songs, series, short dialogues and videos with subtitles. This is a great practice for beginners. Another spread difficulty for many countries is tenses. For example, the Russian language has present, future and past tense. In English, together with the passive voice there are 26 groups of time, while in Japanese there are only two tenses. However, in the fact there is nothing difficult. Just in the English sentence, time is expressed more clear and precise. The last but not the least problem is vocabulary. When a student learns a new word like a "parrot", he remembers it and adds it to his passive vocabulary. Though, it often happens that he/she almost does not use this word and when he/she finally will see a parrot he could hardly remember this word. It is typical for students from different corner of the world. To solve such problems can help personal dictionary, where one need to write a new word and transcription, sometimes it is even better to put down not just the word and the translation, but also this word in the context. Therefore, you will develop associative memory. It's really may seem that this topic is eternal and while one is dealing with difficulties in pronunciation, other may be coping with grammar and language use. Despite that, nothing is compatible with the final result. To sum up, language is the most important means of human communication, without which the existence and development of human society is impossible. However, in the study of this subject many students of different nationalities may face with various problems. Despite this, one should think in advance about what difficulties may arise and how they will be solved. Do not be satisfied with what has already been achieved. Move on and never give up.
