I have learnt from this unit that managing classes is one of the critical subjects. It is almost as important as the content knowledge. When the teacher is sure the class is ready, he/she can teach. The ability of organising and managing the class is supported by eye contact, gesture and the voice. While grouping the students, it is also important to consider what type of activity to do and in what way the teacher can get the best result from the class. When it comes to the classroom arrangement, there are many factors such as the availability of space, age of students, their nationalities etc. Teacher decides which type of arrangement such as orderly rows, circles and horseshoes and separate tables, is good for the classroom. Finally, to ensure a classroom management, giving individual attentions, increasing the use of STT, giving instructions clearly and basically, having discipline in the classroom are also very important.
