The unit began by asking students to reflect on cultural issues regarding working and seeking employment in foreign countries. The whole unit emphasizes that a teacher must be prepared and should be cautious (even conservative) while adjusting. The unit discussed finding employment through online resources and by networking in the country of one’s choice. Fifty questions were suggested regarding what a teacher should ask potential employers. There was also C.V./Resume writing advice, which again discussed the fact that there are differences culturally. I did not see any mention of photos, but I know that some countries expect you to include a professional photo with your C.V. Then there was general information on continuing education and professional organizations/resources.
