In this unit, i've learned about what a good teacher is. A good teacher must be kind, patient, motivational, having good knowledge content, is able to find out the weaknesses of the students and correct them. Next was the roles of the teacher. He/she must act like a model, manager, organizer, facilitator, tutor, guide, observer etc in different aspects. Next topic was the qualities of a good learner which includes willingness to listen and ask questions, desire to learn and experiment with the language, acceptance of error correction. Next topic discussed is the levels of language learning which are beginner, elementary, pre- intermediate, intermediate, upper intermediate and advanced levels of learning. According to the european union framework these are named as breakethrough, waystage, vantage, thershold and mastery respectively.
