Unit 1 covers aspects of being a "good teacher" or a "good learner". Teachers and learners both play important changing roles in the classroom, and positive qualities on both sides helps to foster a positive learning environment that will be beneficial and productive. Willingness to listen to the language, desire to learn, and motivation to study a new language all help students be good learners. If good learners have good teachers, teachers that are positive models, kind and encouraging prompters, and effective managers, then both parties will have a highly effective language learning experience.
