It is a pleasant surprise to see that this course also includes teacher-personal material, topics and subjects to consider outside the classroom environment. As a teacher who has taught English in China on multiple occasions, the topic of cultural differences and consideration is essential for every foreign teacher to enjoy the job and the according country at its fullest, as well as to establish proper grounds to build rapport with the students. Further, I am very pleased to see that there was a section on professional development and CV building. I feel perhaps this is not entirely necessary for a TESOL course, but it comes as a welcoming addendum nonetheless. One can never learn too much regarding professional development, as a teacher or otherwise.
