From the unit 1 I've learnt a lot of new things. Before I had experience in teaching English in China, but I didn't have a chance to study and to get the knowledge about how to become a good teacher. All my knowledge I've got only from my own experience and lots of mistakes. From this unit I've leant, that good teacher must love kids and must love teaching. His classes must be interesting and bright, funny and entertaining. And all the students must be involved in games or the other activities created and organised by teacher. Every student must get an equal attention, and everyone must take part in all activities, because it brings students more confidence. Good teacher can't be rude to students. He must always be nice and patient to them, and kindly encourage them to learn the language. And of course good teacher must know his subject very well and to be a good model for all students. That's what I'm doing now- trying to know my subject better with this course, because I really want to be a good model for my students in future. From this unit I've leant what "good teacher" means and which roles he must play in class. And also I've learnt what "good student" means. Good student must be interested in learning, must be confident and not afraid of making mistakes. And here a good teacher must help all students to become "good students" by creating interesting lessons, by helping and prompting them if necessary and by praising and motivating them. Also for me it was interesting to learn that success in teaching depends on student's age, life experience, language and cultural level of students. For example, teaching methods of the adults beginners and pre-school beginners will be completely different. And good teacher must organise his classes depending on all these factors I've mentioned before.
