In this unit I learned and understood the attributes of good students (asking questions, motivated to participate in class), good teachers (good knowledge of the subject, caring for students) as well as different levels of understanding of the English language. As I have already been teaching, I was able to reflect on what I have noticed in the classroom. I totally agree with the characteristics of a good teacher, such as caring more about the learning of the students. I was also able to get a clear understanding of what influences learning among the different ages of students. For example the differences between post and pre-puberty students in terms of their interests and attention spans. The variables such as life experience, opinion and nervousness were also highlighted in aspects to take into consideration when teaching adults.
