The unit mainly focuses on the vocabulary, grammar and structure of the language taught. It is very important to have grammar and structure knowledge to write even a simple sentence. Vocabulary is equally important. The techniques discussed in this unit can be easily followed during classes. Recently, when my grade 6 students were writing a narrative story, I tried using the chain communication technique in which one student starts to write a story and others complete it by writing the events, rising actions and so on. It was enjoyable for students and those who enjoy writing creatively had a fantastic time working on others stories.
