This was an interesting chapter for me regarding the past. past simple-used to express completed actions in the past (ed-d to base form) ( did/didnt before base form )(did + s before base form ) past cpntinuous - indicates that a certan action was in progress at a particular time in the past.(s+was/were+verb+ing)(s+was/were+not+verb+ing) (was/were +s+verb+ing) past perfect -refers to a past action & a related past action befor that relates x2 past atction eachother (s+had +past participle)(s+had+not+past participle)(had+s+past participle) past perfect continuous- about past x2 action x1 action was continuouing at the same point in the past , continuing action in the past up untill an action in the past( s+had+been+verb+ing)(s+had+not+been +verb+ing)(had+s+been+verb+ing)
