We may use perfectly the grammar in our natural, everyday speech, but we never ask ourselves what we are using or why we are using it. If you start teaching career you face the grammar part. I notice that grammar is the most basic part of teaching. If I make grammatical mistake, so will my students. Maybe I cannot be a walking grammar reference book, but I should know the basic grammar parts, to not lose the confidence of my students.
