I've leant a lot in unit three. In this part, it mainly talked about the theories, methods and techniques of teaching. I learnt the following method of teaching: the classical method, audio-lingualism, the silent way, suggestopedia, TPR , ESA and so on. Each method has its own positive factors and negative factors. Which one will the you use, it depends on your individual circumstances, your personality, the culture of the students, and their needs. Different students we may use different methods, due to the different culture of the students, different level, their needs etc. The most important one goes to ESA, which put forward by Jeremy Harmer. This approach allows all of the previously mentioned to be applied and gives the teacher a great deal of flexibility in the classroom. ESA, E-engage, to get the students talking about thinking in English; S-Study phase; A-activate phase, to put the learning in a realistic context. From this part, I've also learnt a lot of examples about teaching method that we may use during our teaching.
