In this unit we learned about some methods and techniques used in TEFL. There are different theories and heated debates about which methods work best. Multiple factors must be taken in consideration, but the overall modern belief is that trying to imitate the natural way that we learn language is best. We learn about the ESA (Engage, Study, Activate) method, in which each class has a combination of the three phases, alternating between them but always starting with "engage" and finishing with "activate".
