Course books give teachers and students a tried and tested frame work to work with. They allow students to see progression through the course and through each unit/ section. A balanced course book is important as skill development needs to be constant. course material needs to be analyzed to make sure that the teacher is confident with it and the students will gain the most benefit from the material presented. If a course book is insufficient it is the teacher's responsibility to supplement or adapt the material to suit the students needs and level.
