This unit on Teaching Pronunciation & Phonology has been really interesting and a completely new element of the english language that I was totally unaware of. It has been a revelation that a language exists within the the language of english! The teaching on the use phonetic symbols has opened a new possibilities for lesson structures that I would never have considered. The manner and way that sounds are formed and can be experienced and practiced by students has been such an eye opener! It allows one to put exercises together to assist our foreign language students with the formation of the sounds we produced instinctively as native language users.
