teachers of any subject will always come across some challenges or problematic situations and esl teachers are not the exception. For some building rapport with students seem to be harder. The activities suggested in this unit can help any teacher to start feeling at ease with new and existing groups alike. I have worked with groups with different levels and I agree that pairing stronger students with weaker ones can be very helpful provided that the teacher monitors the activity in order to ensure both students take as much advantage of the activity as possible.
