As an english native speaker, I thought there would not be much to gain from doing this course and because I always did well in english during my schooling years, I thought this would be easy.
Day one of the course finally came and the first assignment was eagerly completed and sent back for review. Quickly after that, assignments 2 and 3 were done and sent off. The next assignments came, these took longer and longer to complete. I started to realize how much I had forgotten and how much I still didn't know. This was the point where I once again became the student. I realized there was still much knowledge to be gained.
Throughout this course, I learnt a lot and found a new appreciation for the english language and how much it is needed in countries.
Not only have I gained so much from doing a tefl course, but not only have I gained knowledge, I now have new opportunities with no limits!
Specific Topics such as grammar, tenses, conditionals and so much more will be necessary for successful teaching, therefore all of this will be put into action straight away.
I am also able to put together a lesson plan, this too is vital for the classroom.
The different levels and how to class them will be needed right from the start of teaching.
