It has been many years since I graduated from university so this course gave me a good refresher on english grammar, especially in regards to tenses. I also learned a lot about class preparation and how to prepare lesson plans. There was lots of good resource material and websites given in this course which will be an awesome help when it comes to finding and putting together lesson plans for real. I also learned a lot of helpful tips regarded classroom setup and teaching tips.
One of the things that I liked most about the course is that it encouraged teachers to be creative and to interact with the students encouraging them to think and respond to the best of their ability. Learning a new language is not on most students’ fun things to do lists, so making classes fun and interactive is a key to students making the class effective. Overall, a great class more challenging and time consuming that I anticipated but well worth the effort! I will use many of the techniques and lesson plans found in this course as a launching pad to improve and motivate my teaching skills.
