This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Key learnings: I have learned how to plan and execute a lesson on various levels and for different student groups and in different settings (mono-linguistic versus multi-linguistic). I have been taught different teaching techniques and be given suggestions on how to engage students in the teaching but most importantly, I now have many creative teaching ideas and some good teaching materials available to me when I want to activate the students and focus on a key problem area. Future action: Honestly, I do not know how much and how I will be teaching in the future but I will use the ESA-framework for any future lesson/teaching planning and also the many good suggestions to activate students. I will also use the knowledge on how to teach young learners as opposed to adults and mono-linguistic classes as opposed to multi-linguistic ones. Finally, due to this course and other useful feedback when teaching locally, I have become aware of the fact that I need to work on my board management and on my hand-writing to ensure readability and comprehension.
