I found this course/qualification in tefl to be an excellent launch-pad for a career in Teaching. Although I must admit I underestimated the course when I first enrolled, but after a while I began to realize there were a lot of technical and perhaps even a few general aspects that I wasn’t aware of. I really enjoyed taking these lessons as they gave me a greater understanding of the english language. I also learned the importance of organizing oneself through proper lesson planning and the significance of keeping students motivated and engaged. I believe this course has given me the confidence I needed to start my teaching career and has enhanced my teaching skills. I now plan to focus on the problematic areas I encountered in this course to ensure that I am competent and comfortable to adequately teach all different angles of the language. I will also need to focus more on the upcoming business english units, since my initial plan and main interest is to teach english in the business context.
