I believe before I started the tesol/tefl course that I didn’t have the complete picture on teaching, but only a fragmented presentation of how to be a teacher. So it was necessary a professional training course to tie up the loose ends, not only to the benefit of students ,but for individual satisfaction, and consequently to improve the courses given.
It was important on my behalf to take into consideration a broader more complete prospective of teaching and its individual components. An area in which the course has helped me is on initial testing and monitoring, which are important techniques in providing valuable information to get a clear educative picture of individual students and consequently provide a more tailor made course.
