I have gained one important thing from this course, confidence. After taking this course I am now more confident in my grammar, teaching ability, and lesson planning. Near the completion of my course I now know that I am able to go into a classroom as a new teacher and tackle any issue since I have so many resources at my fingertips to help me.
I plan to take these resources and find a job back in South Korea. Currently I am applying for both secondary schools, and University positions. I know that whatever the age level I will be able to engage with my students, teach them the necessary material, keep them active throughout the class time, and help them succeed.
This certificate is also acting as my personal VISA to any country. The doors for teaching have opened up for me. In Korea they require a teacher to have this certificate as a bare minimum for public schools. If I fail to get a University position, which is possible due to lack of experience and age, I hope to stay at a public school to gain the necessary experience and knowledge until I am ready to become a University professor. I am also thinking about doing a masters course, too.
