By refreshing all the grammar used throughout my life as a native english speaker and attending both British and American schools it is amazing how I have taken the rules set out in this unit for granted!Speaking and writing other languages throughout my life i have phonetically developed a humorous approach in describing grammatical rules. It was good to review basic grammar as it is something that I personally haven't studied since primary school as it is assumed knowledge. The unit made it clear for me to understand each part of speech and therefore hopefully I will be able to communicate the different aspects of grammar to my future students. It was brief. The unit covered listening no reading as receptive skills separate from talking and writing. There are better ways to teach receptive skills that promote confidence in their learning
