Past simple is completed actions in a definitive amount of time. Past continuous is actions in progress at a time in the past. Past perfect is actions taking place in the past. Past perfect continuous is a continuing action in the past until an additional past action occurs. Being able to show students set grammatical forms to help them make their own sentences is going to make my junior high lessons a little more easy. The activity ideas with the cut out images an students making their own stories based on the pictures using set grammar patterns is going to be my new favorite.
