This unit highlighted the need to be organised through the use of a structured lesson plan while maintaining flexibility. The unit also highlighted that the learning events/activities must follow a progressive step by step order within each stage to ensure that students can build gradually. I found the lesson plan template useful in that it gives a good snap-shot of how much student - student verses teacher - student talk time as well as stage and timeline information.
