This unit showed examples of how factors such as the teacher's attitude and method in the classroom can have a profound effect on learning efficiency and student participation. In the fist video the teachers attitude was strict and annoyed. His speaking was rushed and his body language was threatening. He demands results from his students without providing clear explanations. In the second video the teacher is smiling and his attitude friendly and encouraging. He begins by establishing rapport with the class by learning the students names. He then goes on to capture the classes interest by asking them to give examples of animals using vocabulary they already know. Next he provides clear explanation of the main lesson point and finishes with an activity that uses the animal vocabulary from the activate phase to illustrate and provide practice with that main point (modal auxiliary verbs)
