Two common approaches to teach business english have been either to teach grammar and vocabulary followed by a situational communicative activity or introduce a situational communicative activity followed by the grammar and vocabulary. However these approaches do not equip the learner to handle the broad spectrum of situations in real communication. Therefore a third alternative of teaching using teaching themes is presented in this unit.
