This unit is about how to create a lesson plan. The goal is to be prepared yet flexible and to build a lesson around a key learning goal. It's important first to grab student interest and get them ready to study a key component of the language--and then ultimately to activate their new knowledge with an activity where they apply the new learning. Another reason to write a lesson plan is to keep track of what you've done and to evaluate both what the students have learned and how you as a teacher might change or improve.
