I was amazed at just how much I take my native language for granted. I use language substantially in my everyday work, writing reports and engaging with service users in conversation. However, when I read through this unit I realised how little I think about how my native language is structured. This unit really made me consider just how complex learning a foreign language could be. Really challenging and interesting stuff, bring on the grammar books!!
