This unit was a good reflection on my own speech. english is so natural for me that it's easy to forget why I structure sentences the way I do. I wasn't taught the different past tenses. I just have always known what to say. It was interesting to be able to understand the different forms of past tense. This unit will make it easier to teach past tense if I can break it down by specific forms.
