I'm one of those people who has a hard time hearing stress and pitch differences - it came up a lot while I studied spanish and was part of why I've never wanted to study a tonal language like chinese (luckily for me japanese is a very stress-free language). I never like it when a student asks me where a word is being stressed because I'm never entirely sure myself. The lesson did help to clear this up a bit. "
