In this unit productive skills i.e. speaking and writing are discussed. With regard to speaking. several topics are discussed such as fluency and accuracy and differing types of speaking activities that can be conducted in the classroom along with guidelines on how to conduct such activities and how to encourage speaking and interaction. Some important pieces of information I learnt related to teaching speaking from this unit include: that accuracy and fluency are equally important and that one technique to encourage student interaction is to create a need and desire to communicate within the classroom. The unit made me think about possible activities I could incorporate into a lesson focused on speaking. For example
