This unit is one of my favourite and I enjoyed watching the videos. The teacher looks indeed quite intimidating in the first video and improved tremendously in the second video. It is very clear to me that the attitude is important and smiling is important and friendly voice is important too. The importance of building up each conceptual layer towards a successful learning objective is made clear. The various uses of english (ex. both the spoken and written word) as well as formal/informal styles of conveyance and receptiveness are helpfully detailed in Unit 11. children however are almost the opposite. Depending on the age of the child they are not very nervous and they have limited learning history so they don't have a strict view of what role a teacher should fill
