This unit taught me the importance of the teacher's personality and attitude when teaching a class. The first lesson was very uncomfortable and draining because of the way the teacher approached the class throughout the lesson. The students weren't engaged because of the negative vibes from the teacher. The second lesson showed how a positive and light energy can create a safe learning environment. The students were eager to participate in the class activities when the teacher was more patient. I learned that I need to be understanding and patient with my students. I want to be like the teacher in the second lesson. He seemed to get more information out of them and they seemed more confident when answering questions. I would like to be a teacher that inspires their students to be confident in their knowledge. I need to be able to differentiate between lesson plans by looking at them. This unit gave me the opportunity to work on that.
