Unit 17 covered teacher materials and resources both in and out of the classroom. What I appreciated most were the links to resources I can reference when I need to use a legitimate dictionary or teaching ideas. I had no idea there would be so many tefl/tesol resources as well. This gives me much more confidence in teaching. My mom has been a teacher for over 30 years and I've spent a lot of time in her classroom helping her set up projects. I'm very familiar with overhead projectors and transparency work. I'm also familiar with interactive boards and their advantages. The video camera is one teaching aide I didn't think to find in a esl classroom! But I see that it is very useful in helping students watch footage of themselves and they can self-correct for grammar and pronunciation.
