This unit describes the different forms of present tense that are used when speaking english. The first is Present Simple which is the simplest form and is used to describe everyday routine actions or facts. The next is Present Continuous which refers to actions that are still occurring at the time of speaking or a developing situation. Then comes Present Perfect which relates the past to the present and refers to actions that are finished or actions that started in the past and end with present results. And finally we have Present Perfect Continuous which also relates past events to the present refers to an action that is likely to continue in the future such as an ongoing or incomplete activity.
