Being a teacher in South Korea, I have experienced the classroom and various scenarios that I hadn't experienced when teaching in America. Although these are things that I can work with, what really got me was when a co-teacher asked me what was wrong about a sentence. He was asking me if the future continuous tense, first conditional, present perfect words were correct and I had no idea what he was talking about. I could only tell him whether the sentence sounded correct, but not the technical reasons. I took this course in hopes of understanding how to communicate with my co-teachers when they would ask me questions like that about the technical terms of words and sentences. I hope to take what I've learned and apply them to the classroom as well (especially if I end up teaching more advanced learners)
