When I studied past tenses the most difficult thing was how to remember irregular verbs. I spent a lot of time to write and remember them but it seemed very boring. If I have a chance to teach I would like to try the idea—card game-- which is introduced in the material. And then have students to make stories use past tenses. Using these irregular verbs indeed is better than just taking a mini test.
