I think that students of the english language will have an easier time learning the future tense than the past tense. I believe that the formulas for forming sentences are simpler. For example a student can learn to say "I am going to..."" or ""You are going to..."" + verb and form a comprehensive sentence. The nuances of the different future tenses will come with practice. Being unable to speak in the future tense can be frustrating and I believe that it is important to teach the tense early on so students can express their desires and ideas more clearly. "
