This unit has many reminders of how basic good communication happens. We often do some of these things naturally but we don't recognize it. Calling it to our attention helps us see why we do it and the benefits. The course also helped me recognize the negative consequences of certain action. Reminders about when to be in control of the class and when to loosen control. How to handle discipline is a always. So that material is very valuable. A teacher cannot fully prevent discipline problems but there are things he can do to lesson those problems before they ever start. One final note I appreciated was the reminder to ask the question and then select the student who will answer. This way everyone must stay on their toes and continue to listen.
