Overview from this unit & what I have learned from it: A teacher is successful not only due to a knowledge of subject matter and love for teaching or even a desire to help students succeed but also because of the many roles they play. In being only a classroom manager and never a participant the teacher would not learn as much from their students. However in only assessing the student's work and never being a model of spoken english the students can not learn as much. For learning to take place the students most have the desire to learn which causes them to experiment and put effort into their studies. They must also be studying under a teacher who is passionate about their success as people and teaching itself.
