This unit made me think about the complexities of making sure that every student understands the material and that a teacher needs to be aware of the level of receptive skills in the classroom. If the class has a wide spectrum of skill levels that is going to affect the teaching style and types of lessons that may be given; maybe even more so than the language knowledge level of the students. Having the ESA outline was really helpful to show how a lesson may look that is taking into account the different receptive skill levels in the classroom.
