I wish I had taken this course prior to working with young english learners and in 1-1 tutoring sessions. I recall being very anxious about what on earth to do with especially the private tuition students. Ultimately I figured it out and I completely concur with what this chapter suggests. It would have been very helpful to have had some of the tips before being in a room alone with a 13 year old and struggling to fill an hour lesson.
