This was great to see what proves to be effective when teaching an esl class. It was obvious that the overall attitude and mannerisms the teacher used had a strong impact on the students' engagement. The second video bridged the gap of knowing how to explain a difficult concept of "modal auxillary verbs"" in a way that was simple and easily understood in an esl environment. It was also interesting to note how long the teacher spent on this single concept to really reinforce the lesson with the students. Personally I thought it could have been too long but that was likely because I knew the material and was bored but for a class who knows little english they must have found it interesting and engaging."
