Being a teacher of french as a Foreign Language and wanting to teach english in france, I wanted to have a certificate in tefl in order to see how english was taught, to review my grammar and be able to apply for this position with plenty of confidence. This course has fulfilled all my expectations. I've been able to review grammar and learn some rules which I didn't even know they exist. I also found that english wasn't that easy to learn and especially phonetics and phonology. Regarding the way of teaching, it follows almost the same pattern as teaching french. But I do appreciate the patchwork and boomerang lessons which enable to have various ways of teaching. There are many tips about teaching that I was aware of but forgot to apply in my class. So that was a good way to refresh my way of teaching. I can't wait to find a position as english teacher to be able to try the lesson plans I've imagined in the worksheets of the different units, as my tutor told me they would work well.
