Whenever I study a foreign language in a classroom setting I always learn so much about english grammar by studying how other languages are structured similarly or differently. As a result at the beginning of this unit I was already familiar with a number of the concepts This unit focuses on the parts of speech in english. I could review my knowledge of grammar and test myself. I think this unit was really important because a good teacher should have a good knowledge of the subject and grammar is very important in languages. This unit has reiterated the fact that my role in the classroom will change depending on the activity that the students are undertaking in the lesson. More importantly though the unit has highlighted when I should change role and what is required from each role. Furthermore the unit has highlighted what motivates and influences learners.
