I am learning more and more each unit that our job as teachers is to guide the students rather than dictate and correct. Introducing fun and interesting ways to get the students interacting and talking seems to be the best way for them to learn. If the students are interested and having fun the lesson will be that much more beneficial. I love the use of games in the classroom. I always enjoyed that sort of thing in my french classes in school and I really do think I learned a lot from them as well. One game that I didn't see listed was taboo. Taboo is a great vocabulary game; the student really has to think outside the box and use vocabulary they might not normally use. I also see in this unit and in previous ones the importance of giving clear and simple instructions and giving students plenty of preparation time. I think that accuracy and fluency are equally important. It is important that a student is able to keep up with the flow of communication and the more the student learns the
