This was an interesting lesson on the subject of teaching pronunciation and phonology. Watching the two videos was very helpful to understand how a teacher could help her students make the connection between the number of sounds and how to pronounce the words. It was good to see how to break down words into sounds...to slow them down and count them. The use of tongue-twisters for the Engage activity was a great way to show them how to slow down and pronounce each word clearly. It prepared the students to slow down the sounds of individual words. The charts and information about points of articulation could be very helpful when a teacher needs to explain how to make a particular sound. And for older students
